AOG Support Services are at the core of our business model and we have worked in this area of the Aerospace Industry for the past 15 years.
‘Aircraft On Ground’ situations require cohesive, reliable responses and schedules. Various individuals are involved in finding the most appropriate solutions, in order to minimise the costs incurred whilst an aircraft cannot fly. A recent case in point was our involvement with an ‘AOG support services‘ situation in Sardinia.
We were asked by one of our customers, representing a major aero engine manufacturer, to establish if we could provide AOG Support Services, to guarantee a schedule for transporting one ‘lease engine’ and one aircraft stand to Olbia in Sardinia.

The stand was to be collected from Derby on Thursday, the engine collected from London the following day with a required delivery,in Olbia, on Tuesday morning. The schedule we provided, given the time frame, was for the vehicle to be ‘double manned’, enabling the vehicle to exit France before the weekend restrictions on truck movements came into force. We further established, Italian Authorities allow dispensation for trucks, carrying vital aerospace equipment, to transit Italy during the period of the Sunday lorry ban. Passports and vehicle documents were forwarded to the agent representing the Airline, prior to departure, to ensure ‘Airside passes’ would be processed, prior to the arrival of the truck.
The requested Tuesday delivery schedule was met, to the satisfaction of all parties.
